We set out to explore the Outer Banks in North Carolina in our recently finished Ford Transit Connect Camper Van. We drove the Outer Banks National Scenic Byway and took the Ocracoke-Cedar Island and Hatteras-Ocracoke Ferry! It was our first time on a Ferry like that and was so exciting! In Ocracoke we explored the Ocracoke Light Station lighthouse and Maritime Forest at Springer's Point, where the infamous pirate Edward Teach (Blackbeard) met his fate at Teach's Plantation. We then ate lunch at Eduardo's Taco Stand as well as stopped in at an island beach. The very last thing we did was walk the Hammock Hills Nature Trail where we encountered so much wildlife including giant spiders! Don't worry, we did look it up after we freaked out and learned the spiders are not in fact harmful even though they look terrifying haha At least they made for a good laugh! Thank you for watching!
