Crowds watched the chaos from a distance as emergency workers rushed to extinguish the flames. Families of the victims - unsure of the status of their loved ones - shouted and had to be restrained as others tried to comfort them. Masud Tarik is a teacher at the Milestone School and College, where the crash occurred. “When I was picking up my kids and went to the gate, I realized something came from behind, then I heard an explosion. When I looked back, I only saw fire and smoke. Then I just rushed my kids on an auto rickshaw and saw fire and smoke again. There were many guardians and kids here.” The military said the pilot was among those killed in the incident, adding that a committee had been formed to investigate the cause of the crash.
