Providence Canyon State Park is known as Georgia's Little Grand Canyon. The history behind these canyons is that they were caused by poor farming practices during the 1800's.The vibrant colors paint beautiful natural scenery within the park. This park offers activities for all ages and levels of ability and interests. You can experience the canyons by the Rim Trail or hikers can explores the deepest canyons. Backpackers can stay overnight along the backcountry trail. Mill Cochran Park is located in Chattahoochee Hills Georgia. This park offers 800 acres of wood fields, streams, and running water falls. The park also offers huge boulders, wildflowers, and ruins of 3 historic mills to explore. You have four trails to explore, The red trail, yellow trail, green trail, as well as the orange trail. The trails are well marked and offer incredible scenery. Rood Creek Landing Recreation Area- Free camping with Water campsites. The sites are primitive with a picnic table and a fire ring. This campground had a beautiful lake to enjoy right outside our campervan door.
