This fly is such an easy and quick fly to tie when you have the Petejean Magic clip system. I am so grateful to Justin for giving me this (along with many other things) recently. This is the first fly I tried with this clip system and many more to come. I really enjoy tying with it and it opens up many possibilities for flies. This caddis is not only easy, but it will float very well since it's tied with all CDC feathers. CDC floats so well and unless overly washed, has oils to keep it afloat. If it doesn't though just add a bit of floatant to it and it will stay buoyant. I am not sure if his version had a bit of flash in it or not, but I figured it would help add to this fly especially for where I plan on fishing it. Check out my sponsor Risen fly.
