I loved this really old building that has been for centuries a Pilgrim Hospital. Here are the stairs up and the sleeping loft where I slept. When I arrived, the very lovely man who volunteered to run this place asked each of us pilgrims if we had any pain. Because, after all, it is a "Pilgrim Hospital". I said my knee was bothering me, but "I'm ok." Little did I know that that was my ticket to get through the door before the other pilgrims! As a pilgrim, that's a boon. I got the first shower and first pick of my bed! I now lead group pilgrimages on the Camino de Santiago from around Sarria to Santiago each Fall.
