Royal Enfield TCX Stelvio ADV Riding Boots: My 10,000 Km, 1.5 Year Review

Royal Enfield have sent me their latest riding boots - the Stelvio for a review. Now, let’s get one thing clear - these boots are not made by Royal Enfield, but by Italian riding boots manufacturer TCX. TCX is one of the world’s top riding boots manufacturer. They’ve been making boots since 1989 (TCX name came up in 2007) and unlike the other top brands like Alpinestars and Rev’it, TCX only and only make riding boots - all their boots are made in Romania. Now, why do I know this? Because early last year, when I got my Triumph Tiger 1200, I wanted to buy a new pair of adventure riding boots. And I started doing my research. I watched a lot of videos and decided on a pair of TCX Baja Waterproof boots - the only problem - I had to get them imported - a four month long process due to Covid and they cost me a little over Rs 30,000. Since then, I have put some 10,000 km on them in varying conditions and I could not be happier. Now, circling back to the Royal Enfield Stelvio boots - these are nothing but TCX’s Baja WP boots with a Royal Enfield logo on them. And, they cost Rs 21,000 only. Two-thirds of what I paid for them a year ago. I believe this is the cheapest that they are priced at anywhere in the world. If you buy the Baja WP officially from TCX in India today, it will cost Rs 31,000. In this video, I will break down the features of this boot and explain how they have worked or not worked for me, over the course of a year and a half and about 10,000 km of use.
