Filmed in April (early), 2021 Multiple clarifications in this one. Mr. Ryder "said" he thought the 7310 felt heavier than the 461 I built for him. I had wondered if it was due to the larger diameter handle bar. Echo states the 7310, in this form, weighs 14.9 lbs. Stihl states the R 461 is 15.7 lbs. The 7310 holds 27.1 fl. oz. of fuel & 12.2 fl. oz. of bar oil. The 461 also holds 27.1 fl. Oz. of fuel but 11.0 fl. Oz of bar oil. Clearly someone has glitching with the 12 oz. of fuel at the 1:46 & 2:48 mark. OIL,,, it’s the Oil capacity that’s 12 oz. The Echo has an 8mm diameter bar stud. At the 7:16 mark I’m talking about other zipped saws in other test sessions. Once tuned to actually run a little bit on the pipe, the times are in the high 6 to low 8 seconds depending upon the saw and zippkit – state of tune if you will. Echo purposefully does not publish HP number since they are subjective to the dyno that is performing the tests – I called the Echo technical department on this. Displacement is 73.5cc for the 7310 & 76.5cc for the 461, both rounded to one decimal place. Just for kicks, I threw in a zipped 461 equally as new. A few heat cycles and a few bar runs. SLOBBERING rich, loping, way off the pipe, pick one, in this session. The two stock saws are nearly identical in run time with the heat cycles and use with a b & c for a few test cuts. Looking at the timed runs: Echo 7310 at 12,780 high idle ran 16.6 down, 15.75 up, 16.70 down, and 15.45 up. Stihl 461 at 12,800 high idle went 11.29 down, 10.00 up, 11.62 down, and 10.05 up. Insane-O SS 461 puking rich ran 8.79 down and 8.77 (with some good pressure) up. As I started & continued with this saw, an opinion was “developing”. A special thanks to Mr. Robles (I was corrected on the correct pronunciation of his last name after this was filmed – Ro-bless, sorry buddy) for allowing me to tune and then do saw testings your mo-chines! With any luck he will be well pleased once they arrive home. At the time of your viewing this session, I may or may not be available for custom saw modifications. I can be, and most often am, booked out 2/4 months. If you are interested, please shoot me an email. That is the best, first point of contact. danger_cat@rocketmail.com Thanks for watching.
