Early Adopters, replacing our Diesels with Torqeedo POD Drives, Huge Mistake! 16 Months in Operation Port POD Reduction Gearbox Failed, at 20 Months in Service, Port Motor Control Box Fire, 21 Months Starboard POD Inoperative with Software Issues, Warranty is 2 years from Date of Purchase, $10,000s of Dollars Replacement Parts and Yard fees at my Expense, only negative support from Torqeedo burning Circuit Boards Troubleshooting under their Direction, Torqeedo has no Expertise on their Own Product making profit off In Service Issues. 9 LIVES is currently disabled as We have exhausted our Cruising Kitty dealing with these POS Torqeedo POD Drives, they are not Seaworthy, do not Endanger your Lives, these Drives Will Fail, With what I experienced, I would estimate 3 to 5 Year Service if properly installed and "Properly Installed" is a lot more than Torqeedo provides. #1 Lesson Learned; Install additional sacrificial anodes in addition the ones on the Drives
