Design and function of the EAS-compact® torque limiter
The EAS-compact® is a versatile torque limiter (aka safety clutch) that protects the drive train from damage caused by overload. If the torque reaches the preset limit, the clutch disengages and separates input and output in the shortest possible time. The rotational energy is disengaged and can run out freely. A limit switch detects the disengagement and switches off the drive. The EAS-compact® then re-engages automatically. More information: https://www.mayr.com/en/products/torq...
