0:00 Positioning & Difficutly 0:16 Tank the Damage 0:33 Counter Attack 1:26 Trash Cleaning 2:30 Stat Equip Build Conviction This is a simulation run for a Solo Unfair+ (Max Combat Slider) Grim Darkness playthrough. Naturally, I aimed for a high-consistency approach to defeat Aurora—one of the biggest roadblock in the early game. My first attempt (also my first time past level 6): • Rogue Trader - Aurora Solo Unfair+ (Max Co... After receiving feedback from veteran players on Discord, I learned that consumables and Crimson Rage are considered taboo in the community. However, I personally feel that the narrow pathway cheese is an even cheaper tactic, as it's likely far from the game's intended mechanics and trivializes the fight entirely. So, in response to the taboo—and for a true test of the build—I decided to redo the fight with Battle Trance, allowing me to counter Aurora's prone effect without using narrow pathway cheese. How This Approach Achieves a 99%+ Win Rate: With 69+ Wounds, 195% Base Dodge, and high Agility, we automatically win as long as at least ONE of this condition checked: 1) Win initiative vs. Sniper – (~50%+ chance) 2) Dodge Aurora's melee attack – (69% dodge chance OR only 31% hit chance) [0:21] 3) Dodge Sniper’s attack – (95% dodge chance OR only 5% hit chance) [0:31] Total probability of survival: 99.25%+ Why 69 Wounds? It guarantees to absorb: 1) 19 Aurora’s Kick damage 2) 36 damage from either Aurora's melee (20-27 direct damage + 9 bleed) or up to 36 damage from Sniper 3) 13+1 Wounds left to use Battle Trance So this video is showcase of nearly worst possible RNG: 1) Lost initiative against Sniper (~50+% chance) 2) Failed kick prone test (80% chance) 3) Hit by Aurora’s melee (31% chance) 4) Failed bleed test (65% chance) 5) Got 20-22 damage from Aurora (37.5% chance), blocking the ideal Blood Oath follow-up 6) No crits at all on Aurora 7) Only survived due to the 5% Sniper hit chance (95% miss chance) Future Optimizations: Re-training – Swap Nimble, It Will Not Die, and Agility Training for Death Warden/Feel no Pain and two PR talents. Battle Trance & Conviction – The only reliable way in this version that I can find to get Battle Trance is Dogmatic 2, and so far I only find with 49/45 dogmatic XP in act 1. I'm planning to pivot to Heretic past Act 1, but that requires dropping six Dogmatic XP for the Heretic quest, which will leave me at 43/45 Dogmatic XP. After discussing this on Discord, I think I may have missed some Dogmatic XP in this run. If anyone knows where I might have overlooked it, please let me know. In this run I'm only dropping 2 Dogmatic for 3 Heretic (Donning Heretic outfit) to maximized XP. [2:47]
