Barr is situated about 8 miles inland from the coastal town of Girvan and lies within the picturesque hills and valleys of the Galloway Forest Park. The Barr Trail is a network of walking paths that meander through the beautiful countryside surrounding the village of Barr. The trails vary in length and difficulty, catering to both casual walkers and more experienced hikers. The Fairy Village captures the imagination of visitors, especially children, who enjoy exploring the magical settings and discovering the tiny fairy homes hidden among the trees and undergrowth.
