Oreck XL Classic (XL2200 RS) Lightweight Upright Vacuum (In Memory of David Oreck)

Here is an Oreck XL Classic model XL2200RS lightweight upright vacuum that I acquired from a seller on Offer Up in my area. This is just another variant of the bare bones XL Classic only the one difference this has over others is that this comes with a helping hand handle instead of the standard handle design. I bought this vacuum for a decent price, and it was in relatively good condition unlike others I've bought in the past, but I still gave it the same new belt and brush roll treatment like I did to the others. This vacuum is extremely lightweight, and is definitely what makes Oreck vacuums so famous, they're definitely a good vacuum for older folks or people who have back or arthritis problems. This does come with a canister like all Oreck's do, but the one for this one went missing by the previous owner which I personally didn't mind, all I wanted was the upright itself, but that does work well and is useful for cleaning furniture, stairs, and even detailing your car. Even though this one is only a single speed model, this does surprisingly good on bare floors for a vacuum that lacks a brush roll shutoff feature, and although I still wouldn't recommend using it on bare floors since the brush roll never shuts off, this does do decent since it has a rubber squeegee on the back to prevent scattering dirt behind it. It features a 4 amp motor with direct air design and takes type CC bags (one thing I will credit Oreck's for is their filtration for being a direct air vacuum, it's really fantastic). The suction is not the best, the airflow is good, and the agitation all right, but not the best because the brushes on the brush roll aren't stiff (but they are super dense). My only complaint about this machine is how loud it is, and the low the performance is for these vacuums for how much they retail for brand new, I personally think it could be better, although it does leave good carpet lines (mostly from the side edge cleaning brushes on either side of the vacuum). Overall, this is a very nice vacuum to use, and does perform good.
