In this video we will discuss what causes LED flickering in video recording, as well as the solutions to this common problem. We will also compare our LED-CON2 and our new LED-CON2-R2. The LED-CON2-R2 is our new LED Driver and dimmer with a frequency refresh rate of 5.2 kHz. This is a really high refresh rate which is ideal for LED installations where video recording will be present. LED flickering in video occurs when the camera's frequency refresh rate is greater than that of the lighting that the camera is trying to capture. This isn't really an issue when the LEDs are fully on, but becomes an issue when LEDs are dimmed down and the frequency slows down. In the video you will see two LED strips. One connected to the LED-CON2 and the other connected to the LED-CON2-R2. They are both running on the same DMX console, and the same power supply. The only difference is the drivers. You will see that the LED --CON2 automatically starts to flicker, and the LED-CON2-R2 doesn't flicker at all. If you guys are looking for a solution to this flickering problem, we've got it!
