How to Paint a Pullip Doll (Instructions for after doll face has been erased or for a blank kit) *Basically, you spray the sealant to the face and eyelids, wait for them to dry (according to bottle) and then you begin you're face up. Spray at 20 CM away THIN layers so that you don't cake on the sealant as it will dry white vs. clear if you spray too close. *USE PROTECTIVE MASK and gloves - this stuff is smelly and toxic. *Starting out: you can use the pencil crayons VS. the acrylic paint for eyeliner. Less is more. Try for subtlety vs. drama as its easier to maintain your mistakes and easier to manage your expectations starting out. *You don't have to have arched thin eyebrows or ones with strokes and you can also use soft pastels for the eyebrows. On my next doll, I did a different shape completely and I will show that video as well. There are many many different eyebrow shapes. I would measure where they are in vicinity to the eye on an existing doll to know where to place them on your make it own. *Depending on how rich you want the soft pastel colors to be, you may seal, dry and apply more layers of makeup. Thinner layers for the blush will allow you to blend. If it looks too cakey, you can also thinly sand off some of the color but once it gets wet (say from a magic eraser) it can get mucky and ugly. *You can do the eyelids while the face is drying and you will spray the eyelids when you are satisfied with them as well. *Erasing with an almost dry white eraser (little cut up fresh pieces) I found was the safest and easiest. *I used ALL my brushes so having a lot on hand is handy :) Different kinds can do different things. I just picked ones I would use for my own eyeshadow. Some of the more costly ones at Michael's weren't any better than the inexpensive ones in the "mod-podge" kit, so starting out, I think your okay to use beginner quality ones. *The varnish on the lips is the final touch before the re-assembling. *Make sure you are content before you spray your final layer as it is a hassle to open her back up again. *Be patient ! You learn as you go along. Don’t give up and have fun. :) Chapters: 0:00 Intro 0:45 Supplies 6:02 Base Spray 7:31 Eyebrows 12:38 Soft Pastels 15:40 Eyechips 16:21 Lips 18:45 Eyemech
