Mortal Kombat X: New Predator 1987 Easter Egg - Infrared Scorpion Origins! (Mortal Kombat 10)

Inside of this Mortal Kombat X Easter egg, you'll see another 1987 Predator movie reference! With that said, these Predator movie references inside of Mortal Kombat X never seem to get old because the developers over at NetherRealm Studios are back at it again and making reference to the original Predator film from 1987. Inside of this video, I'll be explaining the origins behind the creation of the "Infrared Scorpion," skin/costume available inside of the Predator/Prey DLC. Believe it or not, there's an actual (technically speaking) infrared scorpion inside of the film from 1987. Inside of a scene, Carl Weathers has a scorpion crawling on his back, only to be killed by a fellow squad mate. Afterwards, the team moves away and Predator drops down from his perch to examine the remains of the slowly dying scorpion with his heat vision. Coincidently, this is now a skin inside of the game! Personally, I feel that this was an awesome small and subtle reasoning behind the crew at NetherRealm to create this skin. Not only would it be beneficial because Scorpion is easily the most used character in the game, but because this small reference could kinda of tie all of this together to make sense.
