Welcome to the Young Creative Awards

The Young Creative Awards is one of the most exciting and inspiring event on Nottingham’s creative calendar. It is an annual competition open to all 13-24 year olds, working, living or studying in Nottingham. Awards are won in a wide variety of creative categories which are supported by creative businesses and organisations in Nottingham YCA winners receive a cash prize and opportunities, such as mentoring from experts, work experience, industry recognition and publicity, plus the chance to have their winning entries displayed around the city. The Young Creative Awards usually has an annual theme. In the 2107 competition it was “Nottingham Future City” Next year (2018) for our tenth anniversary, there won’t be a theme so young people can enter just what they want . Happy Anniversary! Entries are judged by experts including writers, designers, film makers and more, and the winners are announced at a fantastic awards night. We are passionate about creativity and helping young people to get noticed, find opportunities, and open doors. The Awards set out to develop and support talented, creative young people in Nottingham. It puts young people firmly on the map. This year the YCA became a charity.
