Long overdue… and finally sharing. I’ve always been a songwriter. I’ve always written poems, lyrics, melodies; long before I ever decided to show them to anyone else. For a long time, I kept my songs to myself, waiting for the “right” moment, the perfect version, or the confidence to match what I already felt inside. This playlist is me choosing differently. These are songs I’ve written and arranged — some raw, some unfinished, some still becoming. I’m learning to let the process be the point instead of perfection. I’m learning new styles, stretching how I write, and getting out of my own head. I also live with a chronic health condition that can interfere with singing at times but it doesn’t get to take my love for creating. Music has always been how I make sense of things, how I process, how I connect. Long Overdue is an honest walk through that process — the writing, the learning, the doubt, the growth, and the joy of finally letting the songs live outside of me.
