Wild High-Speed Chase Ends With PIT Maneuver in Mulberry, Arkansas!!! **(Disclaimer:This video is provided solely for educational and informational purposes.)** Mulberry, Arkansas —Newly released dashcam footage shows Arkansas State Police troopers engaging in a high-speed chase with a driver who fled a traffic stop in a rental Chevy Silverado. The pursuit began around 7:20 p.m. in the Van Buren area when the driver of a black pickup truck refused to comply with the stop and sped away, leading troopers on a dangerous chase. Trooper Matthew Price joined the pursuit as the truck weaved in and out of traffic and ran through intersections at dangerously high speeds. At one point, Trooper Price attempted a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle and tried to block it in, but the driver regained control and continued to flee. The chase reached speeds of up to 122 miles per hour in an area with a speed limit of 45 mph, escalating the risk to other motorists. At approximately 7:35 p.m., on Mulberry Highway 64 W, another trooper executed a successful PIT maneuver, causing the suspect vehicle to spin to a stop. Multiple cruisers surrounded the truck, and troopers approached with their weapons drawn. Inside the vehicle, troopers found a pregnant woman in the back seat, along with two male passengers. The driver and passengers exited the vehicle and were taken into custody without further incident. The male passenger identified himself as 32-year-old Shaffer Smith, while the driver, claiming to be 30-year-old Robert Regal, is suspected of providing a false name. Dashcam audio captured the driver calling his girlfriend, informing her of his arrest. According to the Arkansas State Police, the pregnant woman stated she had traveled from Dallas, did not know the two men, and had only met them through her boyfriend. She also admitted to carrying marijuana. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be provided as they become available.
