This LMG may be familiar with Division 1 veterans. The Exotic RPK, Pakhan, returns to Division 2 in the Crossroads season, with the same talent as before: Every kill increases the number of bullets in the mag by 20, from a base mag size of 60, to the maximum of 6 kills and 180 rounds in the mag. In comparison with other LMGs which are stronger and have higher mag sizes like M60, M249, GR-9, MG5 and the Stoner LAMG, the RPK definitely lacks. But with its very high mag size at full buff, 180 rounds can go far....really far. I would treat this as a 60 round AK47 and it would be much better. When using the Pakhan, always remember one rule: 6 KILLS. Aim for 6 kills in a full buff magazine and you can safely reload to a another 180 mag. In the early scenario though, you might find 6 kills a bit hard to achieve, but that is fine. Look for normal enemies and burst them down as much as possible so that you can gain stacks easily, which will roll over to a bigger mag size, and subsequently more reliably max out 6 stacks. However, Pakhan suffers from 2 issues: Firstly, Pakhan suffers from Permanently Active Syndrome (clearly a name I made up lol), just like the Chameleon. Both of these weapons require you to hold it in your hand all the time, as if you swap them off to other weapons, they will lose their buffs. Now this isnt really that big of an issue, but seeing how the Quickstep is available allowing you to run faster and clear long distances sooner, it is a pain in the ass to run at the slower base speed just so as to maintain your buffs lol. Secondly, and much more annoyingly, you lose the bigger mag size if you switch to ANYTHING. Not just weapons, but even equippable skills or even a grenade! If you attempt to put down the weapon to use a skill or grenade, you lose your 180 mag size. I seriously believe this is an oversight, in fact an irritating oversight that I hope the devs will fix, but in the meantime the only way is to use your skills and grenade only if your mag size falls below 60 rounds. This is to minimize the mag size loss.
