Microtonic + Filterbank3 Hardcore Kick Tutorial

Hey Youtube. I made this tutorial to show people you don't need complex effect chains to make a decent sounding Hardcore kick. I know a lot of people struggle getting a good kick so I made this tutorial only using Microtonic and Filterbank3. The kick about half way through is good for more mainstream style, the second half goes into mixing some noise into the kick to create a more harsh Industrial Hardcore kick sound. After that I bounce it down as a WAV sample which is a good thing to practice. That kick is now forever in my library and ready to go. From there on in you can layer with other sounds (maybe a punchier kick) process more, EQ to taste and to be relevant to the mix down of the track. I've included a link to the kick if you want it but I thoroughly suggest you follow this tutorial and make your own. This isn't the only way to do it, there are so many different techniques and different VSTs that can achieve similar or very different results. Microtonic and Filterbank3 are both pretty reasonably priced and very useful things to have if you want to make Hardcore. I suggest you buy them.
