In Matthew chapter 14, we are told of the death of John the Baptist and how here the arch has killed and be headed and put on a platter. We then shipped to Jesus having compassion on a large crowd and teaching them and healing they’re sick. When it gets late, they have nothing for the crowd to eat, and they are in the countryside. Jesus and feeds the entire crowd of over 5000 with just five loaves of bread and two fish. After dismissing the crowd, Jesus retreats to a Mountainside where he prays and spends time with the father. His disciples have taken their boat and are crossing the lake, and the boat is a considerable distance from the shore. Jesus walks out on the water and meets the disciples, where they have the response that Jesus is a ghost. Peter taking a bold move of faith, ask Jesus for the ability to walk out to him.
