Built on BYD’s advanced e-Platform 3.0 and equipped with the brand’s signature Blade LFP battery, it offers two battery options: a 32 kWh pack with a 301 km range and a larger 45.12 kWh pack that delivers up to 401 km on the CLTC cycle. Measuring 4,310 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height with a 2,620 mm wheelbase, the Yuan UP provides a spacious yet city-friendly footprint in a 5-door, 5-seat SUV body. Performance options are tailored to different needs, with an entry-level 70 kW (95 PS) motor producing 180 Nm of torque and a higher-performance 130 kW (177 PS) motor generating 290 Nm of torque. The stronger version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in around 7.9 seconds, offering a lively driving experience for an EV in this class. Fast-charging capability allows the battery to recharge from 30% to 80% in about 30 minutes, making it convenient for both urban commutes and longer journeys. Inside, the Yuan UP emphasizes technology and comfort, featuring a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen for infotainment and an 8.8-inch LCD digital instrument cluster. Premium touches include a D-shaped steering wheel, perforated leatherette seats, a wireless charging pad, and a crystal gear selector, all adding to its modern appeal.
