An exciting day trip adventure in FELDBERG, Schwarzwald (Black Forest) GERMANY (4K) | First time ski course, fun sledding and soaking in the scenic views! In this video you will see a day trip adventure to Feldberg as part of our winter week holiday in Schwarzwald, Black Forest, Germany. Because of the mild temperature, there is no snow in the lower grounds of Germany. Even here in Black Forest, we were surprised to experience winter without snow. Since this is the only day in the entire week when the sun is out, we grabbed the opportunity to drive to Feldberg, the only place in the region with snow on the mountain peaks. We drove from Schonach to Feldberg which is about 45 minutes, passing by the quaint villages and the stunning lake Titisee. The view of the lake from above is breath--taking! As we arrived in Feldberg, we went straight to Schneesport Thoma school to book a beginner's ski course for my son. We couldn't make reservations ahead because of the weather condition, that there is so little snow. We were lucky to get a spot for the afternoon course. While waiting, we were soaking in the scenic view and the relaxing time in the Thoma Ski Resort. It is very interesting to see how kids learn the basic steps of skiing. Thereafter, we were so lucky to have a nice weather, we spent the day having fun sledding and playing with the snow. Thoma Ski Resort has a restaurant with a huge space indoor and outdoor. We enjoyed typical German foods and drink. I find Thoma a great place to stay for a day trip.
