Can you ride the Zero DSR/X (MY 2025) in the rain? Yes, it actually works surprisingly well. The tuning of the electronics in rain mode is excellent and doesn’t allow for any wheel slip. Overall, I have to admit that I actually liked the DSR/X even more than the BMW R 1300 GS under these conditions. The Zero has a very pleasant center of gravity and is very easy and quite precise to handle. The throttle response of an electric motorcycle is, of course, more precise than that of a combustion engine. The front brake was also very easy to modulate. However, the rear brake on Zeros always feels a bit wooden. I suspect this is related to the regenerative braking. Still, this is not a major disadvantage. The ergonomics are well-suited to me at 176 cm (5'9") in height, and I was easily able to put both feet on the ground. That leaves, unfortunately, only the very high price and—still for me personally—the too limited range (according to Zero, 280 km) as the main disadvantages that stand in the way of me purchasing this otherwise very impressive motorcycle.
