Fumbled Launch in Sailing Paradise - Dinghygo Orca

Composite scenes of a couple failed launches of a Dinghygo Orca thru shorebreak at a pretty beach in east Oahu. I have succeeded on a smaller Dinghygo Beach, but wanted to see if I could manhandle the bigger Orca in strong conditions. The hardest part was the swirling sand currents would trap my feet ankle deep and even removed one of my sports sandals. Reflections follow in next paragraph: Should wear high top neoprene booties next time. Should clean debris plugging drain - wave wash brought in leaves that stopped up the drain and gathered several gallons. Should hold mainsheet while jumping into the boat so I can accelerate away. In my previous Orca video I wore booties which let me do a fosbury flop out of the mud and cleanly sail away with immediate mainsheet pressure. Someday I might try rowing out first, but that might lose control more easily.
