A man has been handed a jail sentence after a drive-by shooting which injured a man, the bullet narrowly missing passengers travelling on a London bus. Police rushed to the scene on Wood Green High Road on January 25 2020 as shots were fired from a car with false registration plates which injured a man who standing on the pavement. The bullet which hit the man travelled through his leg and smashed through the rear window of a passing bus which narrowly missed passengers at the back of the bus. The man on the pavement of Wood Green High Road, Haringey, was rushed to hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg and thankfully no-one on the bus was injured in the shooting. The VW Golf which had travelled along Whymark Avenue before shots were fired from inside the car fled the scene after the shooting. Following a Met Police investigation, Alexander Kufour-Boateng, 29, of Linley Road, was identified as the driver and arrested and charged on December 20 2021 with driving a motor vehicle dangerously, assisting an offender and possession of a firearm. Alexander Kufour-Boateng, 29, of Linley Road, N17 appeared at Wood Green Crown Court on Wednesday, March 22 where he was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment.
