In today’s video from Classic Car ChitChat you will see the 1950 Hudson Pacemaker. The Pacemaker was introduced in March 1939 and is often considered to be the replacement for the Terraplane. It was built on a 118-inch wheelbase and powered by a 212 cubic inch six cylinder engine. The Pacemaker was not carried over into the 1940 Hudson range. he Pacemaker was again offered for the 1950 through 1952 model years. It was the cheapest model in the Hudson range in each of the three years. The Pacemaker utilised a 119-inch wheelbase, five inches shorter than that used for all other contemporary Hudson models.[2] The Pacemaker had the flathead 232 cubic inch 6-cylinder engine. The Wasp debuted in 1952 with the 262 six, but when the Pacemaker was discontinued, the 1953-54 Wasp base engine became the Pacemaker's 232. The 262-equipped Wasp models were designated Super Wasp. Equipment Used: Camera Just an iPhone 14 Pro Max (Nothing fancy – which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment) I also use Insta 360X2 which is perhaps one of the best investments I have made and allows me to capture some really cool 360-degree views and also creates a “drone like” effect with the invisible selfie stick attachment. Gimbal – DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!) Audio – Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!
