【Description】: Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and practice are guided by three ancient Chinese philosophies: Qi, Yin-Yang, and Five-Element theory. TCM believes that everything is composed of Qi, which possesses both Yin and Yang properties. The Qi of the same kind can reinforce each other, much like birds of the same feather flock together. Qi and Yin-Yang establish a platform where everything in the universe, whether humans or environmental factors, can communicate and interact, and the human, natural, and social environments form an integrated whole. TCM believes that a healthy state of human beings is one in which they can achieve a balance between Yin and Yang. Therefore, humans can use, for example, food or herbs Yin Yang to adjust the body’s Yin Yang and prevent or treat diseases to maintain health. #tcm #acupuncture #yinyang #chinesemedicine ______________________________________________________________________________ 【Time List】: 00:00 Intro 00:53 TCM is a systematic medical system 02:10 Qi Monism 03:46 Yin-Yang theory 04:37 Five Element theory 08:23 Example: Numbers and moxibustion 10:24 Example: Full moon, new moon and blood-letting 17:07 Initiation of the theoretical system of Chinese Medicine 20:08 Huangdi's Inner Classic of Medicine 26:24 Classic on Medical Problems 27:20 Treatise on Cold Pathogenic and Miscellaneous Diseases 29:13 Shengnong's Classic of Medicinal Herbs 35:00 Period of the Jin, Sui, and Tang dynasties: The Pulse Classic | Wang Shuhe 王叔和; ABC Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion | Huang Pumi 皇甫谧; Handbook of Prescriptions for Emergency | Ge Hong 葛洪; Causes of Diseases | Cao Yuanfang 巢元方; Essential Recipes for Emergency | Sun Simiao 孙思邈; Treatise on Three Categories of Pathogenic Factors and Prescriptions | Chen Wuze 陈无择; Key to Therapeutics of Children's Diseases | Qian Yi 钱乙 40:04 Period of the Song, Jin, and Yuan dynasties: "School of cold medicine" | Liu Wansu 刘完素; "School of eliminating pathogen" | Zhang Congzheng 张从正; "School of nourishing yin" | Zhu Danxi 朱丹溪; "School of strengthening the earth" | Li Dongyuan 李东垣 01:00:10 Period of the Ming and Qing dynasties: Treatise on Pestilence | Wu Youke 吴又可; Theory of warm diseases | Ye Tianshi 叶天士, Wu Jutong 吴鞠通; Theory of vital fire gate of kidney yin and yang | Zhang Jingyue 张景岳; Theory of pathogenesis of stagnant blood | Wang Qingren 王清任 01:12:27 Modern times: Records of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in Combination | Zhang Xichun 张锡纯 01:13:45 Ending _______________________________________________________________________________________ I make two types of videos : Short videos for verification of TCM terms and concepts Long videos for online TCM courses. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Please follow and share with those whom you think the videos will help.
