Various of meeting of the Franco-German Council of Ministers STORYLINE: French Defence Minister Sébastien Lecornu met with his German counterpart Boris Pistorius in Paris on Sunday. The pair held talks with their respective delegations as both countries took part in a day of ceremonies and talks to mark 60 years since a landmark treaty sealed a bond between the nations. The French minister said on his Twitter account: "The defence relationship between our two countries is promising: it is based on many concrete projects, both capability and operational." France and Germany commemorated the anniversary of their post-World War II friendship treaty by committing on Sunday to “unwavering support” for Ukraine and to strengthening the European Union. The German government’s entire Cabinet was in Paris for joint meetings with their French counterparts. The war in Ukraine has exposed strategy differences between the two countries, notably over energy and future military investments. =========================================================== Clients are reminded to adhere to all listed restrictions and to check the terms of their licence agreements.
