Very Rusty Chalwyn Lantern Restoration

Full restoration of old storm lantern. I found this old and very rusty Chalwyn lantern from my friend's farm and he gave it to me for restoration. This old tool is manufactured by Chalwyn (made in England) and it was in rough shape. Fortunately the glass was intact. These storm lanterns are type of lighting devices that uses kerosene as a fuel. They have to be used by great care because if this type of lamp is broken, it can easily start a fire. The lamp has a fuel tank with the lamp burner attached. Attached to the fuel tank, four prongs hold the glass chimney, which acts to prevent the flame from being blown out and enhances a thermally induced draft. I think this lantern is made around 1950's - 1960's. That's because as a result of some investigation I found out that Chalwyn's lantern production ended in the late 60’s.
