Why the Fractal FM9 Cannot Replace my Line6 Helix (at the moment) So, this is a big question I have been getting and to be honest, it all boils down to my individual needs, as it should for you as well. Personally, I have never had a problem with the tones on Helix, but the FM9 does seem to sound better. But, I will take the flexibility of Snapshots to make an overall preset better and more flexible all day long! IF I was in the situation to need just 1 tone and a few pedals, then maybe the FM9 could take the cake.
