CBIT-GSP is organizing a webinar series that offers a platform for cross-regional dialogue/conversation on the decisions adopted, their practical implications for ETF implementation, the alternative options and suggestions that were considered, and, looking ahead, what realistic approaches could be pursued in implementing the ETF and ensure that collective progress toward the global climate goals is more effectively measurable. CBIT-GSP is privileged to convene this unique blend of negotiators and transparency practitioners for this conversation that bridges between negotiations, support architecture, and national implementation realities. This webinar series is structured under three sessions constructed based on the needs and substantive themes that repeatedly surfaced in negotiations and are directly relevant to countries preparing BTR2 and beyond: Session 1: Post-COP30 Transparency Outlook Conversation —Transparency roadmaps as a bridge between negotiations and national practice COP30 outcomes and forward work programme agreed. Highlight COP 30 the outcomes in the context of Article 13 Key reflections from COP30. Transparency roadmaps as a bridge between negotiations and national practice Several Parties referred explicitly or implicitly to the need for clearer national planning for reporting and capacity-building. The webinar will unpack: what a meaningful transparency roadmap should include, who should lead transparency roadmaps at national level how roadmaps can support predictability, coordination, and alignment with support. Session 2: Post-COP30 Transparency Outlook Conversation- From financing reports to financing systems A candid discussion on the persistent gap between what countries need to sustain national reporting systems and what is currently funded. This could explore: Programmatic vs project-based support; Financing continuity across BTR cycles; What it takes for governments to own transparency systems and ensure that reporting outputs inform national planning and climate policy decisions. Session 3: Post-COP30 Transparency Outlook Conversation- Lessons to inform the review of MPG Using country experience to inform: where the MPGs work well and where they create friction, practical issues around flexibility, TER/FMCP participation, etc What can be addressed through guidance, tools, and capacity-building now without waiting for the formal 2028 MPGs update?
