The creative and building aspects of Minecraft allow players to build with a variety of different cubes in a 3D procedurally generated world. Other activities in the game include exploration, resource gathering, crafting, and combat. Multiple gameplay modes are available, including a survival mode where the player must acquire resources to build the world and maintain health, a creative mode where players have unlimited resources to build with and the ability to fly, an adventure mode where players can play custom maps created by other players, and a spectator mode where players can freely move throughout a world without being affected by gravity or collisions. The PC version of the game is noted for its modding scene, where a dedicated community creates new gameplay mechanics, items, and assets for the game. It is based on Phedran's Life in the Woods, which was expanded on and modded further by the German Youtubers Gronkh and Debitor. || BACKGROUND STORY - Minecraft: After Humans Translated from the German description These days nobody can say with absolute certainty who started the Yellorium Wars. What everyone does agree on, however, is that it ended in a devestating catastrophe, destroying numerous cities and ending Human life as we know it. In an attempt to escape the horrific aftermath of the war, mankind - or what remained of it - fled to the depths of earth. Citites that were once the marvels of technological advancements had become nothing but ruins. Spoilt by the luxuries of modern life, mankind now had to very quickly adjust to the harsh realities of fighting for survival. The few that did manage to survive formed groups, going by the principal of strength in numbers. Building caves and vaults, they continued their fight for survival underground, using what little technology they still had at their disposal. It took many decades before nature and mankind recovered from the affects of the Yellorium Wars. Eventually the Vault-Dwellers returned to the surface and began building small settlements and worked fields for food production. Others set out to live amongst nature and formed small tribes in Jungles. Ultimately, Mankind returned...and was given a second chance. There were still remnants of the past civilisations. Of past technological advancements. Ruins of old cities shed light not only on what life used to be like before the war...but also hinted at mysterious beings that posessed magic. Because of this some humans turned their backs on the vaults and technology altogether and started studying the realms of Thaumcraft.
