The first-ever Tokyo Watch Week in October 2025 brought together Japan’s most exciting independent watchmakers, from Naoya Hida to Masahiro Kikuno and Alan Birchall, alongside established names like Casio, Citizen and Orient Star, as well as Swiss brands like Laurent Ferrier, Ressence and Anderson Geneve. In this film, I share my personal journey through the fair — the people I met, the watches that left an impression, and the atmosphere that made this debut event feel so different. With voices from the organizers Masaharu Wada (Hodinkee Japan) and Homer Narvaez (Tokyo Watch Club), this is a look inside an important moment for Japanese watchmaking.
