European Society of Medical Oncology (‪@EsmoOrgMedicalOncology‬ ) Elects Renowned Oncologist Dr. Giuseppe Curigliano as New President for the term 2027 - 2028. Giuseppe Curigliano , stands at the forefront of cancer research and treatment, serving as the Director of the Early Drug Development Division and co-chair of the Experimental Therapeutics Program at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, Italy. He is a member of the Italian National Health Council, serving as advisor of the Ministry of Health for cancer policy issues. In ESMO he served as Chair of the ESMO Nomination Committee and as Chair of the ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee. Professor Curigliano was among the world’s most influential researchers in 2022 and 2023. He has authored more than 670 papers in peer-reviewed journals. Professor Curigliano was awarded with the first ESO Umberto Veronesi Award in 2017. He is the Editor in Chief of ESMO Open. Professor Curigliano was the co-chair of the Nomination Committee for the Yvonne Award 2024 by ‪@OncoDailyTV‬.
