Gentle melody for a dreechit Monday ... a wee song and a favourite of mine, if I'm allowed, from 1978 .... my Stephen Bishop, Andrew Gold influence days..... I got the idea whilst travelling by train, probably on a similar dreechit Monday, from London to my then home in Sunningdale Berkshire...I used to buy the London Evening Standard afternoon edition, for the crossword, and my eye caught a quiet headline inside the paper about this poor girl and her sad outcome ... 'recorded at Air Studios London... usual suspects Pete Zorn, Mart Jenner, Jeff Allen and me playing. Decent string sounds difficult to get back then and Ken Freeman had the best around at the time.. Ken went on to write the long running Brit tv soapdrama themes for Casualty and Holby City. Despite Mike Aspell continuously championing it on his then Capitol Radio Show it joined the Titanic ... another career disappointment ....
