Dynamic mics are better in untreated or amateur rooms, like home offices, bedrooms, bathrooms aka your Stream rooms. They are also better at dealing with background noise. Cardioid means it handles sound right out the front here, and doesn’t pick up sound from behind, or well under it, it still gets audio from the sides but not much.
