Three ladies, Dulce and Marilou and myself enjoying Bangkok and Chiangmai trip as a treat; a well-deserved break to recharge, gain perspective and overall well-being. Floating market and Elephant ride was last minute tour since we're free in the morning. Some freelance tour guides were at the hotel to offer some tour services and he offered THB1,000.00 fare (for 3 of us) to send us and wait for us to complete the tour. It was almost 3hr drive to reach Damnoen Saduak Floating Market in Ratchaburi province. We chose floating market and Elephant ride for THB2,500.00 per pax as we have to catch up a Sunset Cruise by 5:00pm. The tour cum driver even drove us to Asiatique The Riverfront for our Sunset Cruise Tour without additional charges. A heads-up - to negotiate by starting half the price offered in buying souvenirs, clothing etc. And watch out for people who will take pictures as this is a part of the tourism business, you have the right to buy or not to buy your pics. :) (pic with wooden frame from THB250 - 500) The elephant ride was uncomfortable for me. I cannot comment much about this. :))
