Godzilla Battle Line: Eva Unit-02 and Unit-00 Meme Matches

The Evangelion collab returns for season 22 of Godzilla Battle Line! Joining the battle are Evangelion Unit 00, Unit 02, Unit 08 and the 10th angel Zeruel. This is the most new units we've ever gotten in a single season and I am super happy with each inclusion. This update was so huge the servers fucking crashed when the season first started and Toho had to make a Twitter post apologizing for it. That's how you know this season is going to slap.      Unit 00, the yellow one, is a 5 cost ground unit that goes through 3 different attack stages depending on how long she is on the field. At first she walks slowly, able to attack enemies with her rifle. After a little while she will bring out a giant shield, slowly moving forward while ignoring enemies. In this state she reduces all damage taken by 70% making her super tanky. After a short while in that state, she will finally bring out a giant N2 missile and begin charging at the enemy leader. When she reaches them or dies she explodes, dealing damage to everything around her. I'm not sure how useful she actually is but she's definitely super fun to use and that's great. She's like a Gigan/Sachiel hybrid and can even push units around like Gigan can do.       However, her attack damage in her first state is awful, it doesn't have much range and no aoe like Eva Unit 01. The explosion she causes is not guaranteed like Sachiel, you'll need to protect her in the first two phases to get the most bang for your buck.      Unit 02, the red one, starts out as a slow moving 6 cost ground unit that dives into battle with a kick that knocks enemies back. She has two attacks, at long range she shoots enemies with her rifles, and up close she slashes enemies with some knives. After 30 seconds she evolves into her crazy ass beast mode. In this state she becomes a super fast and aggressive unit with a new set of abilities. When beast mode is deployed she gives a 130% attack buff to herself and allies around her like Battra does. She gains a long distance pouncing attack that stuns the enemy, similar to Gigan 04's grapple. And she also deals increased damage to flying units, making her extremely deadly to Mothra Leo because she can stop him from charging and deal increased damage to him. All of this sounds absolutely wicked, and it is. Unit 02 definitely has a lot going for her. It's just that her health and range are really holding her back.       She dies so fast, mainly due to how quick she is, and her range is terrible, very similar to Mechagodzilla 2021. She basically has to clip inside of her enemies to hit them. Because of these issues She'll have a hard time dishing out a substantial amount of damage before she dies. She's 6 energy, so if she dies without at least killing one enemy that's going to put you at a huge energy disadvantage. You need to play her smart and work around the issues. Unfortunately Unit 02 is looking like the worst Evangelion unit out of the bunch. However she could easily become the best and destroy the meta with a few fixes.     Im using Kiryu leader for the first time in a vid, literally just because of the red Unit 02 skin, cause it looks cool as fuck. (If you couldn't already tell by my pfp, red is my favorite color.) I also fully embraced the cheese and dumped gold into train bomb, bringing it to lvl 30. Might as well since it got buffed and the gold discount event is on. Kiryu leader paired with lvl 30 trains is absolutely disgusting. There were times where I definitely should not have won a game but I did, all because of AZC. I even beat a few players running lvl 30 4 stars with him, which I could never do with my usual Gigan leader. I'm not saying that to flex or anything it just goes to show how stupid this ability is. It's literally a win button. I actually felt kinda bad using it, but I also got my ass beat a lot too so it evens out. One thing I did notice is that flying leaders are actually a counter to Kiryu lead. This is because they aren't affected by the first hit of train bomb, so they can survive the AZC combo and heal with psychic chorus. Unfortunately there are only 2 good flying leaders, Desghidorah and Mothra.  Dunno what I'm gonna do for the next vid. I might take a look at the new eggy mode thats coming out to shake things up, or I could take a break and recharge my batteries. That 1k sub special really took a lot out of me heheh.
