The Nomads The Nomads are people of motion. To them, staying still too long is a kind of spiritual decay. They wander deserts, steppes, seas, skies, or even between worlds—following stars, seasons, ley lines, or ancient songs only they still remember. Home isn’t a place; it’s the journey itself. Who they are Clans, caravans, or solitary travelers bound by shared customs rather than borders Keepers of oral history, tattoos, maps etched into bone, and stories sung instead of written Often underestimated as “drifters,” yet they know more about the world’s hidden paths than any empire Beliefs Change is sacred Possession weighs the soul down Survival is an art, not a struggle Strengths Adaptability, resilience, and deep environmental knowledge Masters of survival magic, navigation, and guerrilla tactics Their loyalty, once earned, is unbreakable How others see them Civilizations call them uncivilized Rulers fear them because Nomads cannot be easily taxed, controlled, or erased The Nomads remember what the world was like before it was claimed. The Archons The Archons are beings of authority and embodiment—living pillars of cosmic order. They are not merely rulers; they are avatars of fundamental forces: time, flame, memory, justice, storms, knowledge, decay, creation. Where a Nomad adapts to the world, an Archon defines it. Who they are God-kings, immortal guardians, or ascended entities Bound to thrones, domains, or concepts rather than nations alone Their existence shapes reality itself Beliefs Order preserves existence Power is responsibility (even when they fail to live up to it) The world must have structure—or it will collapse Strengths Near-divine power tied to their domain Command over followers, champions, and entire civilizations Can bless, curse, or rewrite fate within their sphere Weaknesses Rigidity Isolation Their power often binds them as much as it elevates them How others see them Worshipped as gods Feared as tyrants Questioned by those who suffer under their “necessary order” The Archons remember the world as it should be. The Tension Between Them Nomads and Archons are natural opposites. Nomads represent freedom, memory, and change Archons represent control, destiny, and permanence Nomads slip through the cracks of Archon-ruled worlds. Archons see Nomads as chaos that refuses to settle. Nomads see Archons as prisons built from good intentions. And yet… Some legends say the world needs both: Nomads to remind it how to breathe Archons to keep it from tearing itself apart When a Nomad challenges an Archon—or when an Archon walks the road as a Nomad—that’s when history really starts moving.
