Sunday Stroll with Steve || 20th St to Machias along the Centennial Trail || local history

This is a nice 2.7 mile section of the Centennial Trail, a 30 mile former railway line which has been converted for public use. Steve and I were fortunate to have a clear, sunny afternoon to hike this section. We enjoyed seeing the farmland and learning some history of the Lake Stevens area. Hiked on January 18, 2026 5.4 miles out and back Paved Music: Wishful Thinking by Dan Lebowitz, YouTube Library This land is the traditional land of the Skykomish people, along with the Snohomish and other Coastal Salish peoples.
