So in my primary $19k stereo I compared the $600 Parasound 2100 preamp to the $100 Aiyima T8, but the Aiyima didn't sound good in this system. The Aiyima female vocalists weren't clear and the bass distorted at higher volume, whereas the Parasound vocalists were clear and the bass hit hard/tight. It's all about system synergy. It's much easier to see the volume responding to me at my couch with the Aiyima's LED lights.
