Set of DT Swiss CSW wheels from ebay that were meant to be okay, ended up needing all bearings replaced. I already did a video on the front hub but felt this wheel was okay, that was until I fitted it to the bike. My advise if you're doing both wheel bearings and freehub bearings is to do the free hub first and then you can make use of the axle. Bearings are 6902 x 3 6802 x 1 00:00 Why I'm doing this video 00:30 Cassette & Centerlock disc removal 03:26 End cap & Freehub removal 06:11 Tiny sleeve 06:44 Don't damage your axle 07:07 On the ground to remove wheel bearings 07:50 REMOVING WHEEL BEARING (Drive Side) 08:50 Set up for disc side bearing removal 10:12 REMOVING WHEEL BEARING (Disc Side) 11:15 Freehub begins 11:53 There is much material to hit 12:11 REMOVING 6902 FREEHUB BEARING 13:52 Circlip inside freehub 14:19 Circlip removal 15:02 REMOVING 6802 FREEHUB BEARING 16:05 LLU MAX are grade 10 bearings 16:38 Hub chat (Drive side) 17:27 HUB BEARING INSTALL (Drive Side) 19:43 THIS IS HOW THE BEARING SHOULD LOOK 20:21 Getting ready for bearing install on disc side (Options) 22:32 HUB BEARING INSTALL (Disc Side) 23:43 Check the axle for play 24:00 Start of freehub "rebuild" 24:31 Freehub press set up 24:58 You could use a 17mm with home made press (depends on outside diameter) 25:40 Grease is used to stop corrosion 26:02 Start of freehub bearing install 26:27 FREEHUB BEARING INSTALL (6802) 26:51 Circlip install 27:54 Discussing Freehub bearing install options for 6902 (Important) 28:48 Keeping central tube still using axle 29:17 If you only have basic tools a 21mm socket seems to fit (depends on outside diameter) 30:15 The tube is a bit of a pain - Press set up (useful I guess) 32:00 FREEHUB BEARING INSTALL (6902) 32:37 Seated nicely 33:10 Freehub Rubber seal - I did it wrong 33:36 CORRECT PLACEMENT OF RUBBER SEAL (Tapers towards the cassette) 34:03 Freehub pawls + spring 36:07 Burrs (Has a weird noise at the end, some editor issue) 36:37 Tiny sleeve (Was removed at 6 mins 11 seconds) & Grease 37:33 Freehub install 37:49 End cap on wrong way 37:55 END CAP ON CORRECT WAY (Disc big, Drive small) 38:19 Cassette, Disc install (x8 speed) 38:49 40NM is needed (30 ft-lb) 39:00 It works! Good luck. This was meant to be a quick video, so that didn't work out. Maybe of some use to someone in the World. Credits - Music: Big Boi Pants by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com
