Woodturning - Can Pine Be Pretty .... Again?!

So after the success of my two other "Can Pine Be Pretty" videos I wanted to make a third but change the species of pine (not 100% sure what it is), and create a more interesting design. Unfortunately, the wood didn't allow for the design I wanted, the pine had been sitting in the elements for too long and had lots of water ingress. Because of this I put the project on hold for three months and came back to it once it had dried so I could look at it with a fresh perspective. I thought the best way to salvage the piece was to use epoxy resin, it would strengthen the wood and give it a more beautiful finish. Let me know what you think of the epoxy. Should I use more on the channel, or do you prefer more traditional woodturning? The bowl is sanded to 7000 grit and finished with Danish oil on the wood, and a buffed finish on the epoxy. The bowl is 215mm diameter, 90 wide, and approximately 70 deep.
