In this video, we’re taking you to some of the best spots around the airport, including the famous observation deck near both Runway 05R/L and 23L/R, plus a few hidden gems with stunning views. You’ll catch a mix of a variety of movements, from airlines to private jets to even cargo flights – we’re covering over 60 different airlines! Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) is the busiest airport in Taiwan and is located just 40 kilometers west of downtown Taipei. This airport serves as a major hub for international flights, particularly to and from Asia, North America, and Europe. The airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 for international flights and Terminal 2 for both international and domestic services. TPE has two primary runways, 05R/23L and 05L/23R which handle a significant volume of air traffic. With millions of passengers passing through every year, it’s one of the busiest airports in Asia, constantly alive with activity, especially during peak hours. China Airlines, the national carrier, is the main airline at TPE along with EVA Air and Starlux basing themselves at this behmoth of an airport, but the airport also hosts a range of global airlines, including Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, and many others. You’ll see a wide variety of aircraft from all over the world here, making it an exciting place for plane spotters. While TPE may not always be in the top 10 busiest airports worldwide, it’s certainly a key hub in Asia. Its strategic location and heavy international traffic make it a crucial player in global aviation.
