I Forged Hand Tongs for Hand Forging

In the previous video, there were many comments saying that I don’t forge my work by hand, that I use a press or other equipment. I found that strange. A hydraulic press doesn’t do anything except apply force to the metal - it’s nothing more than a big hammer in the hands of the craftsman. All of my tools and my experience allow me to create a wide variety of pieces with it, and without me, it can’t make anything at all. But then the question arises: what does “hand forging” actually mean? Do I need to hold the workpiece with my bare hands? Or press the metal with my hands? Because if you follow that logic, picking up a hammer would also mean it’s no longer hand forging. These endless arguments about what should be considered hand forging have followed me throughout my entire career as a blacksmith.
