I am honored to have been at the right place at the right time to document him. Querétaro, Mexico 🇲🇽 Jose, now 84 years old, has been a shoe shiner for 20 years. I walked up to him and asked him to shoe shine my black leather loafers men's shoes. He took his time. He cleaned my black leather shoes well. I am grateful. He said he used to work in Yuma, Arizona and Arkansas. He worked on farms, with produce such as watermelons, cantaloupe, oranges, lemons, and beets. He was interested in my travels, and where I was from. He asked if I had visited Acapulco. He guessed quickly that I was from New York. I hope he is doing okay.
