If you have come to Jesus Christ in recognition that you are a sinner in need of a Savior and surrendered your life to His Lordship then you are rightly related to God. At the moment of your conversion, the Holy Spirit took residence in you, and He is a deposit guaranteeing what is to come - your eternal security. (Ephesians 1:13-14) Your assurance and security in being rightly related to God is in the truth of God’s Word - you must choose to believe you are who God says you are. The security of your salvation lies in your identity in Jesus Christ - not in your Church denomination, the good things you do, or your circumstances or emotions. There will be a day when every one of us will take our last breath and the determining factor regarding where we spend eternity lies in answer to the question - “Are you rightly related to God through Jesus Christ”. If you can answer that question “yes” then you do not need to fear whether or not your saved. The enemy will taunt you to doubt what God has declared to be true… stand firm in God’s truth and who HE SAYS YOU ARE!
