http://chemistree.ca/ Dennis Hunter is not only the founder of CannaCraft in Santa Rosa, California but he is also Chemistree Technology's key advisor. In this video Dennis discusses the shift that has occurred in the California markets from cannabis flower to extracts. Turns out cannabis extracts are at a tipping point where the sales will surpass that of flower. If anyone should know it is Dennis. CannaCraft is supplying about 5% of the cannabis to the California market with approximately 50 million in sales in 2018. My name is Dennis Hunter and I’m the founder of CannaCraft. We have Absolute Extracts, Care By Design, Satori Chocolates and now we’re making Hi-Fi Hops. The exciting thing about Chemistree, is the founders of Chemistree. They’re all leaders in their own space, whether it be in the hydroponic industry, in the cannabis space. I started growing cannabis when I was 15. I’d kind of seen where the industry was going, and it was going to extracts. CannaCraft is probably about 5% of the California market. We’re in line to do about 50 million this year in 2018. Flower and extracts, it’s been changing, you know flower was probably 75-80% of the sales of cannabis 4 or 5 years ago. Right now it’s almost at a tipping point where extracts are actually going to be a higher percentage of flower sales. People want to be discreet, they want more variety, and they want to be able to control their high more. And so when you go to an extract you can test it, you can get the milligrams per millilitre or exactly what your dose is. That has a lot to do with the big shift that we’ve seen.
