► Wing Chun is well known for the centreline theory, so here is a great set up that will catch most people out. In this Wing Chun video we look at the concept of feeling the gap in your attackers defence to exploit how they react to your movement. We also look at why you should always recover to the centreline in Wing Chun. The centreline theory is not just a guide to striking, but a reference of where to recover your arms in Wing Chun. In this video we discuss a set up for what we call the ultimate attack combination that will be difficult to stop if you time your attacks properly. Note, that the upper cut striking arm comes from underneath so it is difficult to see coming. It is an effective set up that works well in Wing Chun sparring as well as Chi Sao. This attack combination can be found in other forms of Kung Fu and martial arts, even boxing. However, the ideas of Man Sao are more common to Chinese Kung Fu styles such as Wing Chun. Perhaps you can say that Wing Chun is therefore a special Kung Fu style. Man Sao is the perfect anatomical reference in which to mount your attack or even counter attack. It also creates an opportunity to set up an attack that comes from underneath the vision of your attacker. However, the key point to note is to withdraw your arm from underneath otherwise you may trap yourself. We discuss why this technique is important to control distance to your attacker, and how this technique can be used to set up a Wing Chun Chain Punches for Self Defence (also watch • A Beginners Guide to Wing Chun Chain Punches ). Remember, the purpose of Man Sao is to bridge contact with an attacker in order to control that person’s movement, space, and distance. The next video will cover how to use the Man Sao Wing Chun technique to set up a trap by using a probing technique. SUBSCRIBE FOR OTHER VIDEO TIPS AND NEWS! https://www.youtube.com/user/londonwi...
